SeismicINFO provides survey outlines and acquisition parameters via dynamically updating web map layers. These web map layers provide a direct link into our database and can be consumed in a web browser, in GIS desktop software, and in most geoscience software packages. Once the initial data link is created, our web map layers dynamically update as we add and update survey information within our database. By embracing this technology, our clients can always feel confident that they are viewing the most up-to-date information possible.
Seismic Data Searches
SeismicINFO provides free seismic data search and contract negotiation services to our buy-side clients. We simplify the data search process by compiling possible surveys of interest into dynamically updating web map layers. However, it is worthwhile to contact us directly regarding areas of interest because we may not have permission to share the location of some seismic surveys in our public map layers.
Seismic data searches can be tedious due to poorly advertised survey locations and complex chains of data ownership caused by underlying oil and gas assets being bought and sold over time. When surveys of interest are identified, location outlines are often delivered in a fragmented mix of shapefiles, scanned maps, and PDF files that need to be digitized and reformatted so that the interested company can compare the survey locations with their acreage position and other proprietary data contained within their GIS and geoscience software projects. At SeismicINFO, we do the ownership research heavy lifting, and we compile possible surveys of interest into dynamically updating web map layers that can be easily consumed by our clients.
Once surveys of interest are identified, we help our clients navigate the contract negotiation and data transfer phase of the license transaction. Our goal is to make this process as easy as possible, and we work diligently to solve any issues that arise until all the data has been verified and transferred.
